The Squeeze Movie

Father’s Day is coming up and this year you want to get your golf obsessed dad something he will actually use this year, right? Well, I have the perfect solution for you. The golf mystery The Squeeze will be available on June 9, perfect for Father’s Day. When Augie Baccas (Jeremy Sumpter), a common man of uncommon skills, living in a small rural town wins his one day City Golf Championship by 15 shots breaking his own course record, a dapper Southern gentleman gambler, Riverboat (Chris McDonald) and his over-the-top bejeweled wife, Jessie (Katherine LaNasa) who are driving cross country from Mississippi to Las Vegas hear of this uncommonly gifted young golfer on local radio. They go find Augie and convince him to play in gambling matches to make big money to help pay for his mother and sister after his father was arrested for abusing his mom. One thing leads to another and Augie ends up playing in a $1 million match in Las Vegas. He is threatened by the other gambler that if Augie wins, he'll end up in a swimming pool wearing lead boots. Riverboat gives Augie a similar fate if he loses. Win or lose, Augie's dead!

Notable names in golf have raved over the movie including Judy Rankin, Jim Nantz, Bob Costas, Al Micheals, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and Phil Mickelson. Jack says "I watchedTHE SQUEEZE with Barbara and really enjoyed it. It's a fun movie that tells an interesting story, and the golf elements are so real you actually believe it could happen."

Phil added "THE SQUEEZE is a wonderful golf movie because it's so authentic. It hooks you in the beginning and stays interesting and entertaining right to the end."

If those icons for the game are raving over "The Squeeze", you should too! The movie is rated PG-13, and would be a great movie to watch with your family. I have watched it three times already and have loved it every time. The movie made me laugh out loud a couple of times, and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. So if you are looking for a good Father's Day gift, you should get "The Squeeze" which will be available on DVD at various retailers, and on most major Video on Demand providers, June 9th.

A huge thanks to Mary Beth Lacey for allowing me to recieve this movie before it was release and to review it!
