Silverleaf Golf Club

Over the summer, I was fortunate enough to be able to play at Silverleaf Golf Course in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was a phenominal course. The grass was about as green as you can get it, and it was the middle of the summer in Arizona!!! The first thing you notice is the amazing club house. Then, you enter the locker room and I can almost guarentee that it's the nicest you have ever seen. With T.V.'s, a spa, a bar, and a small pool to relax in after a round, you could just stay in the locker room and have a great experience. But of course you want to go golfing. You go through the pro shop and see all the top gear in it. After a nice discussion with the head pro, we got free Gatorades and headed out to the driving range. The first thing I saw was the lounge on the range! It had comfy sofas and chairs with fans a T.V.'s! It was unbelievable. The range balls were of course Pro V1's (what else). Our caddy Rory showed up, and it was clear he knew what he was talking about. Then we got to the first hole and saw multiple tee boxes that would fit any skilled golfer. The Tom Weiskopf design was amazing. The houses on the course reached upwards to $20 million. The views were incredible. Rory helped us see downtown Scottsdale and the airport. The halfway house was nicer than most club's resturaunts. They had a world class wine selection and great food if you didn't take advantage of the free candy bars and gronala bars every couple holes. Even though I played pretty poor golf, it was my most fun golfing experience on that trip. In the clubhouse, we enjoyed food (I went with the wings which I highly recommend). My experience was unlike any other. If you are in that area, I highly recommend playing there. It does cost about $200 if you are not a member, but it is definitely worth it.
