Are you out to find a new driver that will improve your game greatly for the golf season? Of course you are! Hitting the ball 15 yards past everyone on the first tee box in the first round of the year will have all your buddies jealous. But you have one problem. You have no clue what to get or even where to start looking. If you stumbled upon this post, then you've found the right place.

The new Titleist 915 D2 driver has recently become available for purchase. When I first heard about the new driver, I was skeptical. In the past, Titleist has been a brand for the 5 handicap, not the average 10 handicap golfer. But, I’m in the market for a new driver and have seen many players boast about the club via social media (Ben Crane in particular), so I decided to tried it out. I tried the Ping G30, the Taylormade SLDR, and the Titleist 915 D2. I have about a 100 mph driver club head speed, so I put stiff shafts on all the clubs. First, I tried the Ping G30. I wasn’t a huge fan, not being able to feel like I was hitting the ball on the sweet spot. Feel is a huge part of the game. I ended up striking the SLDR and the D2 very well, those two quickly becoming my finalists. I was in between clubs, going back and forth. Eventually, after about 10 swings, I started to choose the D2. On my solid hits, I was hitting the Titleist about 3 yards further than the SLDR. Then, the deciding factor happened. I hit the SLDR just like any other time, solidly on the club face, but the ball sliced nastily to the right, sure to go OB on almost any course. I was very confused. I kept on going back and forth, SLDR to Titleist, and kept on striking the D2 down the middle every time, and the SLDR kept on going about 10 yards off target. I decided the Titleist. At the end of the day, the Titleist is long and consistent. It does what anybody needs. I recommend you head to your nearest golf course/store and try one out.
